Laura
Creative Director + Lead Designer
Laura’s background is in graphic design which launched her career into product design and interiors. Her past jobs are diverse, including planograms for Victoria Secret, owning her own restaurant, and owning her own graphic design firm, Anthony Littleton Design. From there, Laura was a Creative Director and worked with design firms such as Fitch before making the transition to Craft Associates. When she’s not working on furniture, you can find her in the garden, renovating an old barn into a modern masterpiece that she will call home, or hanging out with her husband George and dog Belle. (George is shown here with his beloved crocs. We have to chuckle that even the crocs made the photo!) Laura also keeps busy working on exclusive high-end interior design projects. Today she is responsible for all of Craft’s trade show booth designs and leads our in-house furniture design team. No decision gets made without running it past “Mom”! Laura oversees all design aspects of the company. Her Eiger Collection has received many accolades, was “trend spotted” by Ishka Designs, and was featured in publications including Luxe Magazine.
Jerrod
CEO / Head
UpholstererJerrod is the eldest of the Jones’ kids and it shows. In his words : “I manage the most talented group of people you’d ever meet and run the best company in the world.” He is our CEO and head upholsterer but it doesn’t stop there. You’ll find him somewhere between meetings with the creatives or the sales team; figuring out and helping with design and construction for Bertu Home, Craft and The Swanky Abode. He also does our SEO, legal, and statistical analytics. Finally, most of his hours are spent sewing, upholstering and teaching upholstery as he fell into the role out of necessity to allow the production to be in Ohio. The quality of his work is unmatched and has led to Craft having some of the highest standards in the industry. His background is about as vast as his current position. Jerrod grew up being influenced by Laura’s talent in interior design. He wanted only two things in life – a wife and owning a business. He was a collegiate athlete but never lived up to his younger brother’s achievements, although he takes credit for them. (“You’re welcome Izze”). Jerrod went to school for fashion design and failed out, which should be expected considering he didn’t know how to sew or draw. Little did he know, learning to sew on an industrial machine would ultimately lead to his current trade and position within Craft Associates. He worked at an elite boutique commercial real estate firm directly out of college in Dallas, TX. From there, he moved home and became the National Sales Manager for all of North America at Root Candles. He loves golf, creating music, fishing, boating, family, friends, food and work. You can find him working on building projects, insulating or playing around on the Skid Steer. He is about as dynamic a CEO as you will find.
Izze+Gretta
Sales Team
Israel is the focused and driven one of the family. As the middle child, he is the one who is constantly pushing : pushing for new product, pushing to be the best in the industry, and pushing and expanding our capabilities within furniture and design. As a 3 time All American and Division 1 soccer player, his drive is integral to this business. His tireless pursuit and hard work with soccer led him to a crossroads about 15 years ago – either go on trial with soccer teams professionally or choose the family business. At this point, his passion changed and the drive became studying and learning all things furniture.Today he is the head researcher, production manager, quality control, and heads our sales team. His love for mid century furniture started with The Swanky Abode which led our family to the partnership with Craft Associates. His love for mid century furniture also helped him find his wife Gretta as they met through The Swanky Abode’s instagram page! His favorite things include buying and selling vintage furniture, bourbon on ice, watching Liverpool soccer, buying furniture (yes we included this hobby twice) and traveling and spending time with his two boys and wife.It was a match made in heaven and seemed too good a fit when Izze and Gretta met. She was working for Jonathan Adler in Denver, CO when they started chatting via Instagram. Their stories are a little different about who came onto whom, but does it really matter in the end? Gretta has a degree in Interior Design from the Art Institutes and was the design assistant for Mark Showell in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She is the organized one in the group and wears a lot of hats in this company including sales, all things fabric/finishes (she built our fabric program), helping Laura with anything design related and client relations/outreach . Gretta also designs/runs our other family brand, Bertu Home (think stump side tables and cool modern furniture.) With 13 years of high-end restaurants and music venues under her belt, she enjoys the simple things in life – good food and good drinks. She loves traveling and yoga when she isn’t chasing around her two wild sons. And as the oldest member of her family, we have another bossy one and another strong opinion.
Addison
Photographer+Designer
Addison is the youngest of the Jones crew, but don’t let her age fool you – she is a force! Since birth she has been immersed in the creative world as her mother (Laura, our creative director) brought her everywhere with her. From a very young age she understood good taste and product buying as she was buying for a million dollar+ store, at the age of 16. Since then, she has grown to be an artist on all levels. She designs our websites amongst many other things within Craft and owns her own photography business shooting interiors and editorials. She shoots all the photography for our furniture listings and sites, and she was nominated for the top 30 best wedding photographers in the world. She also recently had multiple gallery showings of her artwork and is now stepping into the world of glass. The creative talent of this girl is endless! The multifaceted part of Addison is that she also has a killer business mind, constantly working directly with Jerrod and Israel – soaking it up and adding fresh new ideas. She loves extreme sports like snowboarding and skateboarding and loves photographing that lifestyle. Her art medium started as street art which led to the Bertu brand that Gretta carries on today. In her free time, you can normally find Addison working! We try to get her to slow down but she has too many ideas for a day off.
